2008 International Conference on Governance

Governance is the set of processes, customs, policies, laws and institutions affecting the way an organization is directed, administered or controlled. Governance also includes the relationships among many players involve stakeholders and the goals for which the organization is governed. Positive effect of good corporate governance on different stakeholders ultimately result into strong economy, and hence good governance is tool for socio-economic development.

Governance practices constantly evolve to meet changing condition. As it works in progress, there is no single universal model of governance nor static final structure in governance that every country or organization should emulate. Many empirical studies and experimentation should be expected and encouraged to find out best practice for governance. It is for this reason Faculty of Economics Trisakti University conduct 2008 International Conference on Governance with theme: “Increasing Stakeholders value through governance in private and public sector”

The conference is aim to bring together a diverse group of scholars and practitioners in governance throughout the world to discuss the most recent researches conducted around the world and serve as and arena for presenting up-to-date conditions of governance. The program will feature internationally renowned speakers and will contain a balance of both theoretical and applied concurrent session.
